MOONVEIL
Female Empowerment and Gamming

Moonveil is an RPG meditative fantasy game created over six weeks, exploring themes of spirituality, nature, and divine femininity through a Celtic lens.

Inspired by the growing trend of neopaganism and mysticism in popular culture — often reduced to commodified aesthetics and wellness products — Moonveil responds with depth and sincerity.

Set in a mystical forest labyrinth rooted in Scottish mythology, the game guides players through three symbolic realms: the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone.

Each stage encourages emotional introspection through gentle challenges, drawing from ancient rites and the triple goddess archetype

. Built in Unreal Engine, which I taught myself for this project, the game uses atmospheric sound design, real Celtic motifs, and subtle environmental storytelling to immerse players in a meaningful journey.

A companion app connects the game to the real world: players must walk, explore nature, scan herbs in AR, and track the lunar cycle with journal prompts to restore their in-game energy.

This integration encourages not just escapism, but reconnection — with the land, with forgotten histories, and with self. Moonveil reclaims mysticism as a tool of empowerment, grounding it in heritage and offering players a quiet, powerful space to reflect and grow.
